Nurses in many specialties, including hospice and home care, practice pain management with every patient encounter. Many are eligible to become certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) with an RN-C (Registered Nurse-Certified) designation in pain management.
The Pain Management Certification Prep Course designed and conducted by Pain Resources Network prepares generalist nurses with pain management experience for taking the ANCC Pain Management Certification Exam. In addition, the day-long seminar upgrades the pain assessment and treatment skills of any healthcare provider wishing to achieve excellence in pain management.

Specialized Training Programs
Pain Resources Network offers healthcare providers a variety of experiential training programs that address pain and symptom management. Interactive discussions help clinicians and each member of an organization’s interdisciplinary pain management team first recognize - then learn strategies for solving - real patient care problems.
Training segments address individual attitudes toward pain and the use of medications; organizational attitudes toward change; assessment of patients’ pain and treatment planning; prescriptive and non-prescriptive interventions; practical skill building; and implementation tools. Each program can be customized to meet the needs and reflect the culture of a particular organization.
