Additional tools for each patient or member of a facility's interdisciplinary pain management team may be purchased separately or in kits.

Four durable, easy-to-use guides are included in each “Clinician's Pain Vital Sign Tool Kit.” The clinician's tools are laminated and sized to fit into a pocket or bag. Each is designed to be used interactively with patients and their families to measure pain on a regularly scheduled basis. Scales use a combination of progressive colors, verbal descriptions, expressive faces, and numeric ratings to enable patients to indicate their degree of pain clearly. One clinician panel provides a step-by-step guide for conducting pain/symptom severity assessments and treatment planning consistently and effectively.
